I am in the final year of sixth form and im studying englsh language, psychology and sociology. When i started sixth form i hadnt a clue what career i wanted. However, i realize now that i really want to study a course such as zoology or animal biology but entry to the course recquires the study of two sciences at A level which i havent done!
This is the only time i have realized i actually want to do this but i am sitting my exams in january and may.
The only way i could get onto those courses is if instead of going to uni next year, i get my a level in biology then apply again the year after.
Will colleges accept me as i will still only be 18 next year.
Im just really confused at the moment and dont know what to do. I dont know whether tp give up and settle with what iv got or to take the chance and do it and end up doing a course i enjoy which will hopefully give me the career i want.
Sorry for the length of this! Any advice or views will be so much help!

for those who arent in the U.K sixth form is where you study A -levels to get into university. It is between high school and university.

Life is short. Make the most of your time. If it's something you really want then go for it and take the chance. If you settle now you may regret it later. Take the chance and live without regret

Of course , they will accept you but beware of the games the faculty plays with to give you basic classes and waist you time dont let them do that .. Take classes which are necessary for you and ask you counselar to cooperate with you they gonna say you are too young and you can have this class .. Theyll jsut try to convince you but ushow them up who u are in the placement test ......... then i think u might be able to sve time and do all ohters chores or whatever..... But dont think about giving it up.. just talk to counselar and ask what you can do about this..... Bro dont get confused coz this is your life man if you take one step in confusion then youre are the loser ... Nobody's gonna come to u to back you up even ure best frnd..... So education is based on research and more not in confusion......

i dont quite understand your entire situation. The word "form" just confuses me, i am assuming your not in the US. anyway, do what you have to do to get the career you want. There is a big difference of postponing your career and being happy than taking a different career and hating your job. Its a long time until retirement, so you should enjoy it, not dread it.

Hey, don't worry...
You know, I've been in a similar situation and my dad told me that in the future, one more year studying won't make a difference. to wait one more year and learn what you want i guess u dont even have to question..its worth it! dont rush, you still have plenty of time...its better than later on in college u realize that u dont enjoy what ur doing and u will have to try nd catch up, or even worse if much later in life u realize what uve been doing doesnt really attract u.
good luckk

Most colleges and universities will accept you, at least conditionally. Contact the ones you're interested in attending and find out what you will have to do. Good luck.
