Anthony Smith's comments were irrelevant... Like Coach Belichick said "We've played against a lot better safeties than him."
Let the Steelers think it was Smith that killed them... They have Jacksonville this week which will be loss # 5 for them so they need to admit they were beat and work on their game plan. Not bad mouth the refs or blame the loss on their safety's mouth but on his atrocious coverage of Moss and Gafney.

The Patriots losing 2 the Giants last year, by far, is the bigger upset. You're talking about a team who's QB broke the record 4 passing touchdowns & WR broke the record 4 receiving touchdowns. They were the 1st team 2 ever go 16-0 in a season, so far superior 2 opponents they were accused of running up the score & cheating. Then they beat up on the 2 hottest AFC teams in the playoffs. The Giants were a mere wild card team that got hot in the playoffs. Sure you could say the same about the Cardinals this year, but you can't say the same about the Steelers this year that you could about the Patriots last year. Answer your question this way: who would you put your money on in a match up between the '07 Patriots & the '08 Steelers? The smart money would be on the Patriots. Plus, with the undefeated factor, there's no debating.

The Patriots won the game because they were a better team. If they played 10 times, the Pats would win all 10.
The best the, besides the Pats, that Pitt has played this year is Cleveland. And the Browns are not a very good football team.

A. The Patriots are a better Football Team
(evident last night )
B. The Steelers are over-rated playing a cupcake schedule
( also evident last night not ready for the big -boys yet )
C.Anthony who? (a second year player and the only reason he was on the field is because 2 players above him on the depth chart got injured )

um - yes.
the patriots are pretty much better than anybody right now.
Duh.
and I hate them, so I'm not saying that because I'm a fan.
I love my Steelers (even after that debacle in the second half yesterday)
but I agree that Anthony Smith should have just shut up.
I'm sure he's learned his lesson, but he had to learn it the hard way.
shouldn't be any more guarantees for a while though ...

They didnt have palomalu so it was arrogant for smith to make a promise like that without their best defensive player. The patriots are definitely better than a weakened steelers team anyday

The steelers have no one in their secondary that can cover moss.
I seen the highlites when the first touchdown, the steelers guy fell down. Then the second when moss was clearly outpacing everyone in the secondary and wide open. After that, cbs failed to show anymore highlights.
Hopefully the browns take the division.
THE CARDIAC KIDS ARE BACK!!!!!!!
GO BROWNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
