Can anyone else say another great colaboration between Time Burton, Johnny Depp, and Helena Bonahm Carter?

I can say that, yeah, because, well, because I've seen it and I KNOW it's yet another great collaborative effort. Thank goodness for advanced screenings, right?

Don't let people tell you that Helena is playing Mrs. Lovett "the wrong way". This is an entirely different kind of Sweeney. This particular adaptation has opted to go much darker, gloomier, much less with the knee-slapping and the "nudge-nudge, wink-wink" attitude of the stage production and much more with the grim, deadpan, smirking humor which MAKES SENSE for the new attitude of the old story.

Anyway, enough ranting...

It was a great great film. I fully intend on seeing it AGAIN once it's released nationwide in the US.
