My Grandmother just sent me a narwhal tusk walking cane that has been in my family for years. I am trying to find a way to value it (US standards) for insurance purposes. With the US laws on importing ivory, I'm not sure what I can and can't do.

If it is a heirloom and you can show it is, there isn't a problem unless your relative lived abroad and you imported it recently.

This has 2 canes that may surprise you.
$ 18.000
$10.500

It depends on what kind of cane it is and even who made it.
