I can assure you that the Patriots will not see any added benefit at all in losing a game before the playoffs. They are an experienced team that knows any team can step up and beat them and they want to run the board so they can be included in future discussions as to which team was the best ever.

No, it won't. The Patriots are on a mission. This is a year of destiny. Since game 3 I've been saying the Pats would go 19-0. No one agreed with me then, but now it seems everyone is coming around. The question now is how can the Pats be stopped? I like what Madden said a few weeks ago. He said to beat the pats, you have to jam the receivers, and get to Tom Brady. But even if you do that, you'll still lose.

13-0, 6 to go!

No it would not. Everyone on the Pats considers both the Ravens and the Eagles games as a loss. That brought them right back down to reality. I am sure Belicheck let them have it after those two losses. Close games against teams like the Colts, Steelers, etc are forgivable but the Eagles and Ravens, come on!!!! Now that the Pats have whooped the Steelers there is really no one left to challenge them. The hardest team left is the Giants and they are not an elite team.

It's never good to lose a game. The Pats will have a bullseye on their back from now until they've played their last game, no matter what their record is. Losing now might actually hurt them, I think that one of the Pats biggest motivating factors is that undefeated season, a loss gives them one less thing to play for.

If I were a Pats fan - I would be praying for a loss before the playoffs. How many times have you seen the big overwhelming favorite get the bye the first week -- then get beat their first game?
You don't win an award for going unbeaten during the regular season. So get that monkey off your back.

No, let them wait until the playoffs, then they can lose a game.

I don't understand why they keep Brady in the whole game. I think he should play the 1st quarter and maybe part of the 2nd to keep him unrusted.
