If you're planning on breastfeeding then you probably won't need a backup. The playtex nursers are the best though. My daughter never once used a bottle, she went right from the breast to the sippy cup. Good luck!

We have used Dr. Brown's bottles from the beginning. They are supposed to help cut down on gas and I'd say it has worked. Even from the beginning he barely burped and hasn't had gas problems since he was first born. He is now 6 months! They are worth the extra money and have lasted a long time- 2 children so far.

We use the Dr. Brown's bottles. We tried the Second Nature ones first b/c they are supposed to be most like mom's breast, but she refused to take them. So, we tried the Dr. Brown's and they seem to be working out fine. She is not that gassy and does not spit up very much when we use them. The only downside is they have a lot of pieces which require a lot of time to wash & dry. Other than that I would highly recommend them :)

We use Dr. Browns - I breastfeed my 8month old and we didn't try a bottle until she was 2 months old. I would advise trying a few different kinds - every kid is different.
It's so nice to pump and have the bottle so you can have someone else feed your child and you can have some time away, too! Good luck!

I liked the playtex drop ins. Less to clean, less air, easier to use, and easier to clean since the nipples invert nicely.
