I studied what I wanted to study, nursing and psychology. My dad never gave my psych studies much credibility. He eventually came around to appreciate my nursing degree after he realized it was a good paying job.
I never could have gotten through college for someone else.

Computer Systems Engineering. I thought I wanted that but realized I really wanted Computer Science. My parents knew nothing about engineering. It was pressure/guidance from my teachers that ultimately pushed me in that direction.

I studied what I did in college because it fit in with my five-year plan.
It wasn't what I wanted to learn, but I'm practical. The fun stuff doesn't pay the bills.

Pressure I was mainly doing it b/c I thought living in a dorm far from them would make me happy but no I was still depressed. So I guess I can't escape depression no matter what I try.
