First off, the EU is a group of nations... so you are mixing apples and oranges. Yet with that said, as an organization, it could gain enormous power.

I really do think it has accomplished most of what it wanted. Economic, liberty and health reform. It's currency is one of the strongest in the world! Each state has kept its unique identity. And, there are states like Turkey who are envious and want to join.


Sound like they accomplished more in the last ten years than every "superpower" except for maybe China.


Think, unlike Russia they do not have a Leader fighting tooth and nail to stay in power. And, they are not bogged down in two never ending wars, with ballooning national debt and bad standing across the world.

I cannot believe nations which fraught each other 60 Years ago coming together under one roof. with strong Euro & growing economy among nations.with strong manufacturing & technological base Indeed will be a Super Group which could influence world with its words/Power.
