Toliet Finger - What I did was went to the Dean of Engineering right away and asked for another advisor. Then I went on and got my education and today I am an engineer.

I really only get angry at myself, not really towards anyone else. I am sorry to hear about your experience with your adviser. I want to know more about what you did. Surely you did something. If it made you angry then you may have reacted emotionally or did something that was not too well planned.
I live in Komatsu Japan. They make huge power equipment here. There are no shortages of women engineers here. Look them up if you want. I teach English here and many of my students are female engineers. Sorry your adviser is still stuck in the dark ages.
For the record though, there is nothing wrong with making babies and cooking. Both are very fun, but perhaps not the most lucrative careers. Good luck!

When my husband had affairs, I wasn't really angry as much as I was indignant, insulted, and hurt.
Most recently, the angriest I ever got was one night at work when the phone kept ringing and I had to run all over the hospital doing things for people and the two idiots working with me did nothing to help me catch up on my regular work and even complained to the boss that I was out of the department too many times and got mad at THEM. I almost walked out that night.

I just got off guard duty running over 24 hours and I was cold wet and exhausted and some one shoved me and I lost it and beat the mans head with the flashlight I had in my hand until the batteries split into two pieces each! They dragged him into the shower and when the bleeding stopped and he came to we went at it again and I beat his head into the end of a metal bed post until he lost consciousness,and that was the end of it! If you get me angry you better have a grenade or some thing heavy to use! This actually happened! And not one Gunny ever gave me any grieve ever again!

Oh wow,I'm going to have to agree with you there,any man.. (and some women) who would agree with him and underestimate women.
I'm quite capable of being whatever I want to be, this isnt the old days where women have to be quiet and stay at home and watch the babies.

when i got a referral for calling my teacher a monkey and i told him i was just kidding i said hey Mr.simony what would you do if someone walked up to you a called you a monkey? and he was like what? so i said"no never mind I'M JUST KIDDING) and he stormed out the room got security to pick me up and take me next door and then i got ISS for 10 minutes then i missed my last period because the prick Principal was chewing my asss off irrationally

He did not say that??????OMG!This isn't the maddest but the most recent...me & a guy I work with had it out at work tonight.I'm sick of him getting paid for not working & the rest of us have to work to get our paycheck.I finally had to let him know what I thought about his lazy butt.
