Why bother to have adverts to stop people drinking too much and driving over Christmas. Why shouldn´t we just have zero tolerence. If you drive, then don´t drink. I like a drink as much as anyone, perhaps more at times, but I don´t drink and drive. Surely by doing that we wouldn´t need a Christmas no drinking campaign each year.. Some people will still drink & drive, but you would know that one drink would be one drink too many.

Impaired driving is a terrible problem at this time of year. Recreational and prescribed drugs are also a problem. People have reasons for being less than 100% mentally sharp but they should not let it impact their driving. I also worry about the clueless cell phone users that believe their distraction can't be dangerous. It is also the darkest time of the year and winter brings problems.
It is not an easy problem but thanks for issuing a challenge to all of us.

In a perfect world that would make sense. However, not everyone lives next to a bar or has a designated driver. I agree with you and I go by that rule, but as long as there is accessibility to alcohol, and no one telling you that you can't even have just one, it will continue this way...
