Only if you have money to waste! That is dumb... why throw away shoes when you can take a water hose and spray the poo off.... Someone who throws them away must have a ton of money laying around...

i honestly don't remember ever stepping in dog poo. i'm sure it probably happened when i was little, but i don't remember it... however, i have a cat who occasionally misses her box by a few feet, she has health issues but is doing GREAT right now, btw... so i have stepped in cat poo from time to time, but i love my cat and i know it comes with being a cat mommy! and no, i keep the shoes! : )

No way, shoes are expensive!
The only time I have thrown something away like that was when i went to alot of effort not to touch a single thing in a really dirty public bathroom... I used toilet paper to touch everything, right down to the door handle...
Then I swung around and dropped my hand bag RIGHT in the toilet....
Needless to say I had to laugh... and I just left it there!

A girlfriend of mine wore big fluffy sheepskin slippers to walk her dog in the park very near her house. She stepped in a big pile of horse manure and with the suction action they stayed in the fresh manure when she kept walking and her feet came out of the slippers and she walked home and left them there. She was such a fastidious perfect person that when we all heard what happened, it was even more horrifying than if it had happened to someone else.

I can't afford to do that!
What I DO do, however, is to very carefully watch where I walk and, as a result, over the years I've found a heckuva lot of money (on the ground) -- and have rarely stepped in anything yucky!

No, I try to wash it all off. There was one point where I was cursed with that - if I threw my shoes out every time, I would've had to buy a new pair of shoes every day for almost a week - no joke...

No, that is too stupid. footwear may be high priced. I walk via the river in my backyard and gently step interior the water while not having the textile component to the shoe moist. Then I rub my ft (with the footwear on of direction) on the grass. The poop is long previous!

No!
I make sure I try and clean them by walking through puddles and grass. I am not too bothered as we have a no shoes policy at home.
