College football is still the most real & pure form of the sport out there. It's not tained by overpaid prima-donnas or the marketing machine of the NFL. Sure, there's some schools that have a negative impact on college football (USC, ND, Penn State, Miami, most of the SEC), but overall, one cannot beat the pagentry, history & feel of college football.
My question is: why are you watching the pros, when you should be watching college football?

The NFL is by far much more exciting, much better quality, a much better game all around. And don't kid yourself, college football, especially division 1, is all about the money. They like to hide behind that pagentry, history, pure sport BS but bottom line it's the cash. Hence their reluctance to institute a real playoff system, crown a real national champion, and do away with the bowl (big dollar items for the NCAA).

Purest form?! Newsflash: Reggie Bush isn't the only student athlete who has accepted bribes over the years. The BCS system sucks! And the rankings are bogus! ND is always ranked and they are horrible. Same goes for a lot of teams.
But to answer your question, my college didn't have a football team. That's why I don't care about college football. I have no reason to route for another school but my own, even though A LOT of fans do that. Especially high school kids. Why do they care who wins?! Oh yeah, because college football is full of bandwagon teams and fans...

I hate to say it but I agree. I'd much rather watch college over the NFL any day of the week. Plus, there are no owners in college football trying to hijak the coverage.

I only watch pro football because there aren't any college games on. I love the college football, and I can't wait for bowl season to kick up.

If everyone stopped watching the Pros then the college football kids wouldn't have any reason to play. They are all aiming to be drafted into the pros.

I have to disagree about Notre Dame, their students have to have a really high GPA just to be on the team let alone be able to play. They actually have standards for their student atheletes that's why I wouldn't include Notre Dame in that list but I agree about Miami who has had thugs for 30 years, and SEC for the most part sounds about right. Not so sure about Penn State being on that list.

No, it isn't the purest form. Where have you been the past year or so? It is so jipped. People need to get over fighting over college football and start watching the pros. NFL isn't marketed. And I don't understand how Tim Tebow won the Heisman Trophy when Florida didn't have a good season this year. I mean really.

Wrong, pee-wee football with 8-9 year olds is the purest form of football.

You're right... NFL is too much marketing... I look forward to watching the TOSTITOS Fiesta Bowl or the FED EX Orange Bowl (sarcasm is hard to write).
