The short answer is: enormous colossal damage. The Moon colliding with Earth would be a big-time extinction event, possibly the one to end all extinction events. Consider that when the surface of the Moon first touched the surface of the Earth, most of the Moon would still be in space! The energy of the collision would probably at *least* wipe out anything on that half of the Earth, melt much of the crust, and cause significant volcanic activity on the planet for a while. The one thing it shouldn't do, though, is change Earth's orbit very much. Certainly that would be the least of our worries.

If it fell on earth, then there would be plenty moon rocks around. If it fell away, then we would be short of moonlight!

i would feel like chicken little telling ppl the moon is falling. lol um. i would like it wayy better, there would be no light at night to interupt my sleep. zzzz (srry still kinda tired.)

there would be a lot of garbage probably because there are no longer any place to dump our garbage here in our planet that it has to be driven out of outer space
