I'm confused. On one hand, I went Christmas shopping this weekend instead of going to see The Golden Compass. That makes me a Great American in the eyes of some.

On the other hand, I think our President is a lying war criminal who has sold out our country to global corporations.

So where do I fit in Bill O'Reilly's analysis?

Holiday celebrations are generically secular, so you are safe there.

And, everyone says that the movie is "dumbed down," that the 'real' god-hatred is found in the books . . . so not seeing the movie doesn't prove anything.

Having a global market place that doesn't exclude trade with communist nations is on the "to-do" list of those who espouse the Liberal ideology. There is also movement that indicates that there is a Liberal wish to turn our government over the the UN . . . for that pie-in-the-sky utopia.

Your history lessons should have taught you that certain "controlling" types of governments are failures, the SP's want to bring about that failure in our own Nation.

Your name on the other hand, tells me all I need to know, lol.

If you are interested in "the movement," and maybe learning the error of your ways, read up:

The GOP's Ministry of Propaganda, the right wing talk show loons, FOX Network, a series of books by right wing authors, all published by the same publisher and their Weeky Standard magazine among others have managed to create the perfect strawman enemy. Like Big Brother's enemy, Emmanual Goldstein, the 'liberals' (or now the Sec-Pros) can be accused of every dirty deed and thought, words put into it's mouth and held up as an 'inside enemy' unworthy of the name 'American'. The 24/7 drumbeat of this kind of disinformation, ad hominum and red herring arguments has had a major and negative effect on our country. Now we're the 'red' and 'blue' states, not the United States. We are literaly divided and conquered. Joseph Goebbels would be proud. The near- nazis of the current GOP should be ashamed!

You're funny! That or an idiot but i prefer funny. Parents are destroying are country. don't care what any of you say about this subject. If you stop and think long enough about it you might even agree.
You wonder what wrong with this country then you need to look in a mirror. It doesn't matter if you believe in God or not but you don't take your kids to church. Church teaches your kids the right and wrongs from an early age along with the morals and values that are needed to live more peacefully with each other. They can decide if God exists later in life on their own but the lessons they learn about whats right and wrong will stay with them, even if they later choose not to believe.
As far as global corporations? We sold out decades ago to money powers. The only President that was hard to be controlled by the money powers was Reagan. If Reagan was President now then the entire middle east would be glass!

There is no secular-progressive agenda, just people with differing opinions.
Stop worrying about what Bill O says, and live your life.
There is no need to improve his ratings, there are much better things to do with your day.

LFP, shun the labels! ;-) I am worried that you worry about what label O'Lie-ly will give you. (And yes, I understand you are being facetious in your post.) We agree on the Prez's agenda. I will hazard the supposed implications of taking such a position, too. Label away, goose-steppers. This particular "secular-progressive" has had a bellyful of the bulging veined , faux-patriotiic diatribes of the immovable and intractable right, of which O'lie-ly is a ringleader.

I don't think you are a part of anything specific, you are just confused, as you admit, and un-informed, essentially making statements about political matters without any qualification to do so. It's sort of like me talking about brain surgery, I don't know anything about it, have no formal education regarding it, so I can't really talk about it in a useful way.

Well I would have to say that if you listen to O'Rielly you are probably a threat to society. By your political views I would say that you are a threat to society. That you participate in the corporate holiday of chistmas tells me that you are just really confused as to who you are.
