I just want a simple design. Possibly 8x8. I'm buying the matirials and doing the work but I don't want to have to pay to get plans.

Here are plans for 2. They are a little bigger than 8x8 but making it a bit shorter shouldn't be a problem. Most people I know always wish they had made the shed larger to begin with so maybe an 8x12 would be a better idea anyway, if you have the room.

I wanted to build an outdoor shed for my kids when I came across Ryan's shed plans collection.
I've used ito to build a 8x10 shed with some modifications. Clear directions and materials list assisted me, a non-builder, in completing the shed I wanted. It's great even for a novice builder like myself!

Without knowing where you're located; certainly there are hundreds of online sites offering designs, images, perhaps exploded views; and perhaps even construction methods.
I might go to a place that sells them ready made; take pictures and some measurements; and decide from that.
For a tool shed; treated 2 x 4's; exterior plywood?/ T-111 siding; 24 inch centers for studs and roof; perhaps a simple; single slope roof; flooring bracing if you need/want a floor; or concrete for a slab; Tools; hardware; and begin.

I built a shed this summer. I ended up buying some plans, but I also found lots of free ones by Googling 'free shed plans'. There's a ton of stuff available.
