it's normal... since it varies on what age a female's period start... listen to your doctor, he knows more than your in-laws...

if you want proof then let them ask you mother or your doctor
anyways read this: http://www.obgyn.net/displayarticle.asp?page=/yw/articles/first_period

Who cares? What business is it of theirs?
I think you need to consider what topics are in-law friendly and what topics are not.
One has to wonder why they give a rat's fanny when this happened for you. One has to wonder why you told them.
I, too, have been guilty of answering questions of a personal nature openly and honestly. It's not wise.
Quite young would have been a good answer, or I don't recall.
Don't forget the powder room can always beckon at uncomfortable moments.
If this is their only criticism so far, be very wary of these folks, who the heck cares when anyone started their period.
Paint a smile on your face, and just say, Interesting that you should ask that - next time they are fishing for points of contention - then just start talking about something else.
You are going to have to stand up to these folks and soon.
On the other hand, they have called you a liar to your face, so maybe they are not two-faced. Who knows with in-laws?

Well if your body decided to make you have your periods early then its normal. Some people start growing boobs at the age of 6, would your in-laws say they are fake boobs??
I started mine at 9 years old and i live south from you. Why would your in-laws call you a liar for saying that?
If you know what your body did at that age and if your doctor says its normal then well, its normal.
But i have heard that some girls as young as 6 or 7 have their periods.
Just dont listen to them. Or you can google it and that will tell you some facts.
I believe you anyway. I dont know what their problem is.

Of course you could have started your periods at 8!! Girls are starting earlier and earlier these days, which is probably why your in laws find it hard to believe. I was 14 when I started but my daughter started when she was 10. I am sure that you can find evidence on the Internet to back you up. Good Luck!

i'm no fan of Islam, yet even i comprehend that the Saudi's are unquestionably no longer stupid. of their subculture, they might marry 4 better halves, complication-loose. without warning. The spouse, can not have a similar style of relationship that the yank, case in point, might desire to, who might have had intercourse with 0.5 the soccer team, or its equivalent, in the past figuring out on her ideal guy, who will relish her, till loss of existence or Divorce do them section. In Saudi Arabia, that can not take place. The chick that tries it is ineffective. She is born to be some guy's belongings. She accepts it. She aspires for no longer something different. the style of guy who's Stand-Up for his lady in usa will look like a bumbling fool to her. that's amazingly complicated for a girl raised into this straitjacket to in uncomplicated terms up and bust out of it without an unsightly mess that helps no person.

I think they should mind their own business. How can they argue with you? It's your body, and you were there and they wern't. Have you tried looking for information on internet? I think 8 is a bit young (poor you), but i know that it is possible. You really shouldn't have to prove something like that anyways. They suck

It is none of their business and is a personal matter.

If you started at age 8, you started at age 8.

No need to prove anything to them.
