You know, it is not insignificant when you think about a few things that happend during the Clinton Administration. For one thing, you are correct about the Waco massacre but do not forget the Randy Weaver case. The FBI sniper deliberately killed an unarmed pregnant woman with another child in her arms. The FBI agent was never charged with a crime because of some "changes in the official rules of engagement". We never got to the bottom of who changed those rules and who changed them back afterwards.

Then there was that Gestappo like quazi-military raid on a private residence in Florida to grab and deport Elian Gonzales. When you link all of these stories together it gets pretty scary.

Why did Janet Reno use so much force so often? We saw nothing like that before nor after her period as Attorney General.

By the way, when did the Immigration Department get a SWAT team? Why was it able to bring all of that force to play to deport one litlle Cuban kid yet they are completely impotent when it comes to illegal aliens?

What I suppose one could say that we learned is that the Democrats seem to behave remarkably like Stalinists when they are in power.

Merry Christmas!

Look at the millions the government had to pay for wrongful death settlements over Waco.

Some insane people will STILL defend burning a building with citizens and children in it to the ground.

FBI agents in the building, communicating with civilians, found no evidence of a crime. They were welcomed inside.

Waco was truly a tragedy in recent history, showing how perverted a government can be, urinating on the constitution, murdering its civilians with military vehicles & weapons.

Another part of the tragety is that Janet Reno has not been prosecuted. Lets just say she "shook off" any criminal action like any professional criminal.

i could say it became the dept Dividians fault whilst they device gunned Federal brokers serving a lawful warrant. The branch Dividians have been given many opportunities to enable the girls individuals and little ones out of the compound. They have been given many opportunities to offer up. They refused each and each physique. regulation Enforcement did no longer use weapons against the dept Dividians that have been banned with the help of the Geneva convention. The branch Dividians committed suicide with the help of putting the youngsters in buried college bus, dousing the whole compound with gas and lighting fixtures it up. in my opinion, i think of it became poorly dealt with. the government could have only given the warrant to close by regulation enforcement and arrested sundry branch Dividians whilst they got here into city. yet, invoice Clinton did no longer make those judgements. The ATF and, finally, Janet Reno did. I surely have in no way heard any government genuine convey any satisfaction appropriate to the mass suicide on the dept Dividian compound. even with the incontrovertible fact that, it became the lunacy of David Koresh that led to the mass suicide at Waco. He bears the blame. would God have mercy on his soul.

The amazing thing was they were at the same time holding Randy Weaver from "Ruby Ridge' on trial for the same administrations blunders.

They did not learn much and repeated the same types of errors at Waco.

I don't think that's a R vs. D issue. We have not handled these situations very well, we always get too aggressive too fast and people die unnecessarily.
