I live in a share house with 2 fellas, one of them - Jim - moved in here with me a few years ago and the lease is in our name, and between us we own the contents of the house (ie, furniture, etc). Anyway, we had a new guy - Todd - move in a few months ago and try as we might we JUST DON'T LIKE HIM, there are so many reasons for this but basically its his personality.
How do we tell him to move out???? We don't want to offend him or have an arguement about it but the fact that we are getting rid of him says we don't like him anyway!
Although I can't stand him I try to make it work but Jim is finding it difficult to pretend.
What would you do!

The key word here is COEXISTENCE. The lease is in your name, so technically both of you are heads of the household, and if he can't live up your rules, even if he pays rent, just means he has to start packing up.

Did he sign a lease with you, or is it a month to month rent agreement. If it is month to month, then all you have to do is give him one month notice, You can give what ever excuse you want, or just tell him it is not working out having him live there.

in case you have not notified your ingredients administration team/landlord approximately somebody living there who isn't on the hire.... then your in success. tell him that they got here upon somebody exchange into living there that exchange into not on the hire & he's have been given 30-60 days to head out or they are going to evict you. You p.c.. the quantity of time that he's have been given to head out. in spite of the fact that, maximum places do not supply you longer than 30 days. this might in basic terms artwork if he does not comprehend your landlord/ingredients administration team. Plus in case you bypass over your hire, i'm going to guess you hit upon some thing asserting speaking approximately prolonged visitors.

Well if you don't like him then it's you and your mate should be leaving the house not him. I understand u've been longer however as long as he sticks to his tenancy agreement then you have no right to ask him to leave besides he might already be thinking to leave as he may have picked up the -ve vibe (unwelcome)

Roomates don't have to be best buds. I would say that as long as he is paying rent & utilities that you have no legal way of kicking him out.
