Unfortunately many people see Americans via their country's politics.

Hmm.. When thinking about "Do you like americans" I must say, no, not really..
This is percieved due to how movies and news and magazines or even news for that matter show us how Americans are.
Americans are thought of how the Government acts, [as some of you have said] and it's true. America is always in war, so you'd think that all americans are the same, but most aren't.
I in general do not like them because most are self-centered as I have been shown. They think a lot of themselves.. Which really makes me dislike them. They talk about other people in other countries as not being able to compare to them because "America is the center of the world."
Don't you see what Americans do.. They start wars.. Commit way more crimes.. They make fun of Canadians "Eh?" Bleh.
Really, what are people suppose to think about the actual people who live in the country when the general image is percieved from watching the news and what the government has done..
Sure, some people are bad and others are nice in every place in the world.. But America is just shown as bad due to what the country does.
In conclusion, I'd have to say, >I do NOT like Americans.<
And if you actually read everything, I am pretty sure it tells you why I do not.

No, as an American living in Saigon most of these country's don't like the the government they see it as America is trying to rule the world, with no regard to life being lead by a fanatic christian. I see them come here thinking they are better than the people of this country, looking down on them because they feel they have more money this makes them better. Don't care or respect the culture, so they go around ignorant like they do in America with their noses up in the air.

whether people like us or not, they cant judge the ppl of america. It just doesnt seems right 4 someone to say they hate americans..JUst because one person made a mistake, does'nt mean we all have to suffer. And you cant hate a America..because, how could you hate a country!

some American people are nice.I'm a Muslim girl.i have lived hear fro 8 years.but some people think there all that and call use tarriest.that really hearts me.why should the Muslim people tack the punishment fro some stupid Iraq people.that are not Muslims.because if their Muslims they wouldn't have done that.

im european, my fiance is american and i work with americans every day, i have no problems with americans besides that sometimes ya all act like overfriendly dogs and
that can be annoying to some european because we not used to it, for example, we dont ask how you are doing unless we really want to know how u feel.
i think most people dont have anything against americans, its your government that most people despise.

funny thing!!! everyone is so quick to knock americans, but they love to come to america, take our jobs, live here illegally, not even have the respect to learn the language, drive with no license, get in accidents, have no insurance to pay for the other persons car to get fixed, commit crimes, they love to visit, vacation, and then turn around and say, well in my country, it is done this way..... well you know what, go back to your own country then.

i dont really like them when they are in their country...
but when i meet them in other countries they are nice and friendly...and i dont think anything is wrong with their accent.
