when someone spends a lot of money on you?
It does me! I guess I have too much pride or something, I dunno.

Depends on who it is and if I am actually able to afford the item myself. If it's a close friend and they buy me something for a special occasion that I was planning on buying myself, not really but if someone bought me a $100,000 "just because" present, that would make me super uncomfortable.

I guess it would depend on what it was for. Was the person just trying to be nice? Or do you think they feel bad for you?
I've seen people spend money on people they want to know that they care about them but don't know how else to show it. If it makes you uncomfortable you should say something. Or maybe come to a compromise??

I love to spend money on others, but only close family, I would not spend a lot on work friend, next door neighbour , etc
are they trying to buy your friendship?

well, for a lady... If a man spent to much money on her, I think it is just normal coz actually, spending is part of courting.
but if your a man... and a lady spent to much money on you, its either you are lucky to have a very supporting lady. Or, you are to lame to have earned for yourself and let a lady work and support for either. Either ways, it is still uncomfortable.

If someone cares enough for you to do this then accept it with gratitude. If it for a reason other than you like then put a stop to it. It is many peoples nature to give while others just take.

If it's my friends spending, I always try and pay my way and have a tendency to be the one who spends more. I don't mind, it's my generous nature.
If it's my boyfriend, he can spend all he wants because he knows I am worth it;)

There's never enough money for this SEASON, and I appreciate the fact that I have Friends who love me alot, but the whole gift giving situation really stresses me alot...
