Of all the celebrity endorsements that could be made, Oprah Winfrey probably is the most valuable endorsement a candidate could get. She is absolutly loved by millions of Americans, she had an enormous influence and is perceived as honest and up front about the things she promotes.

Will it be enough to put Obama over the top? No, not by itself but it is huge. That combined with the avoidance of mis-steps by Obama himself and with a few more mis-steps by Clinton and he may actually pull it off.

Everyone admits that Hillary has very high negatives with the general pulbic but no one knows exactly what level of real support she has with Democratic voters. There may be some pretty high negative numbers there as well.

Either way, what we saw in the early days of the campaign was primarily name recognition for Hillary and Rudy. But now, as we get to know them and the other candidates a little better, the perception of inevitability seems to have faded away.

When one is seen to be the inevitable candidate for so long in the campaign as Hillary was, a loss even a single loss is devestating. If she looses any of the early primaries the facade of invincibility or enevitablilty will be hoplessly destroyed. She will be in for the fight of her political life.

If she looses the nomination, she may not even finish out her term as Senator. What would be the point? Everyone knows she never wanted to be a Senator.

For the sake of the American Democrat party's future, lets hope so. IF I had to vote Democrat, I would " GO FOR THE BIG 'O'" !!! Any one, but Billary.
