Both the Tsunami and 9/11 left me in big shock, I have a cousin who worked in the Twin Towers but thankfully was off work sick that day and my friends live in Sri Lanka, they lost everything they had but thankfully not their life's.

Both Welsh! The Tsunami was so real, with all the amateur footage, and all those bodies, in the make-shift morgues, totally shocked me, because it was a natural disaster!!
911, my memory from that was the falling man, who decided that it would be better for him to jump instead of being trapped in the building. Very very sad....................

Of course 911, that shocked everyone, wherever we live. Still shocks when I see footage on the tv or a documentary about it.
Also, one that always sticks in my mind is Hillsborough, the Liverpool Football disaster, that was terrible seeing it on tv as it was happening, and again, if theres any footage or pictures about it, it still affects me. Glad to say it changed EVERY football ground in this country, unfortunately not others over the world, that still have high fences surrounding their fans.
RIP all those who died in all the disasters mentioned on here today. XXXXXXXX

No disaster has left me in shock, because I wasn't there.
9/11 was surprising, but I wasn't shocked, I can't pretend to know how those people who were close to the event felt and still feels, they were truly shocked.
Katrina, I wasn't even surprised, it's simply nature taking it's course, I was how ever surprised at the damage, but the hurricane itself, not really.

I will NEVER forget the 911 disaster! I was watching it at work on the news live when the 2nd plane hit. That vision will stay with me forever! Absolutely devestating!
