Steve C and whodad- as you are no doubt aware Al Gore's personal energy consumption is 100% consistent with what he advocates - reducing your net carbon footprint. He offsets all jet usage, travels by train where possible and pays extra for electricity to have it sourced from clean alternatives.
I know his success bothers you lot enormously, but misrepresenting it is not going to change anything.
