We would not survive long. The temperature would quickly drop. The oceans would freeze. After a while even the various gasses in the atmosphere would begin to rain down and then freeze as layers of ice. Issac Asimov once wrote an essay on exactly this topic, but I can't find it right now.
Most would die within a month, but I'd expect some to survive for years, and maybe longer. Nuclear energy could provide heating and power greenhouses, and if this situation occured, they'd survive until they ran out of viable nuclear material. If they were able to renew their supplies of nuclear material, they could survive indefinitely. Maybe, just maybe, they'd be able to move on to fusion, get into space again and move to another planet, but it would depend on a lot of "if"s.
The earth is volcanically active, so it creates its own warmth, but not much compared to sunlight. I don't know the actual ratios (depending on depth), but you would definitely have to be underground deep to stay warm

Nothing will happen. Just think, what happens when some one dies? We do not know so many things or we do not have answer to many things. We know about this earth more than anything else. All other things out side this earth may be true or may not be always true or may be sometimes true. From history we have learnt that this earth has existed from millions of years. Why not you think that earth has the power or may get light from other source? May be right or may not be. That proves nothing. So nothing will happen.

The questions some ask are not as simple to answer as the ask er may think. The Sun is but one of billions that we can see, and billions more that we can not. Our Star is a magnetic motor that receives energy from a more powerful generator which Science call Dark Energy. Jupiter is a star in the making. when it comes time for the Sun to transition to the next level of existence; Jupiter will come of age. Jupiter is a small solar system within the system of our Sun. Bye the time that this occurs we as humans will have evolved to transition to a new habitat. Colonization is nothing new. It occurs constantly, human and non human, it makes no difference. The Earth is in a life cycle that is early in its' development. Some distant time from now it too will come of age and burn brightly in the cosmos.

to scientifically speak, the earth will move away from its orbit because of the absense of pulling power of sun. The composition of the earth will change and we all will die. Because of this perfect distance and perfect heat from the sun that our earth is capable of creating living things. Otherwise our earth will be a hearth.
To speak in a funny way, our cloths will not dry, we do not require fridge, ladies cannot dress bikinies. all have to wear sweaters, sweater making biz will cherish etc.etc.

It would get like -273 degrees C, and we would be flung through space 'cause we would have no gravity to hold us in orbit
