My friend is a person who changes his group of friends everytime he gets bored of them, and me and him just became friends during the summer. we found a group of friends to hang out with and it all went good, until there was some drama and he didn't like one person in that group so he decides not to hangout with them anymore, i personally liked hanging out with them and he told me to dump them too, i didnt want to make that decision so i decided not hang out with anyone, but then my friend called me a trador and we havent talked for a few month now, and i hung out with the group a couple times after the incident, and now i feel guilty when i hang out with the group even though its only a few times a month...what's your intake on this??

I think that you are right to be true to yourself, and if your friend cannot accept you being friends with other people of your own choosing, then what kind of a friend does this make him ...

Here's a question. While you where hanging out with the group did you at least hangout with your other friend as well.

If you did not and you only hung out with the group during this time. That is the only thing he would have a right to be upset about.

Friends don't tell friends who they can hang out with. Because if they did they are not really your friend and they are just controlling you.

If you did avoid them while you where still hanging out with the group. Then you where sending the signal that the group was more important then them. If that is not the message that you wanted to send. Then you have some work to do.

Well, if you have to ask the question "Are they a true friend?" Then I think you know the answer.
My intake, No, He's not a true friend. A true friend would never dump other friends just because they got bored. That's wrong and the way I see it is he's the traitor. He's the one who betrayed you and your group of friends.
But if you stick with the group that's saying yeah, your a true friend who cares about other people's feelings enough not to just go dumping them. Stick with your group of friends, if you all get along then why should you stop hanging out and only get together a few times? Don't let this dude control yout relationships.
