Such casual readers of the bible! The commandment is: "You shall no longer bear fake witness against your neighbor." this implies you may no longer misinform get somebody else (your neighbor) in complication. I additionally think of this might properly be an exceptionally odd commandment because of the fact it says no longer something approximately mendacity to maintain your self out of complication. of direction, this commandment gets interpreted as meaning lies are undesirable often yet while that improve into the reason, why no longer say so interior the 1st place? The "bear false witness" part is generally taken to mean not lying. Unless you all have changed the definitions.

I don't think God was banning a specific type of lie, that is just a convenience, another way for us to pick and choose how we want to believe the Bible.

Me, when I tell a lie I know it is wrong and I'm ready to talk it over with God when the time comes..

LOL!
The hilarious part.
Have YOU ever read the ten commandments?
The "thou shalt not lie" part?
Out of curiosity. Which of the ten is,
"Thou shalt not lie"?

Something gives me a slight hint that you just might be a hypocrite or just don't know what you're talking about.
Which is it?

I have read Thor Girl's message, though it does reflect on a person's integrity (which is big in my book) about whether they are liars or whether they are believable.

That could be why nobody thinks it was wrong for Clinton to lie then, huh?

Actually the Ten Commandments say NOTHING about lying, it actually talks about "bearing false witness against your neighbor", a specific KIND of lie.

No society can live under the influence of absolute honesty. If you disagree, try telling your best friends what you ACTUALLY think of their kids (but do it after Christmas so you don't have to return their presents)

We all are sinners and fall short of the glory of God. No one is perfect. We just have to ask for forgiveness of our sins.

I don't get my news from MSNBC...they are left-wing loonies...NBC refused to allow an ad supporting our troops last week, then had to recant after much bad publicity! Make sure you get the whole story before you form an opinion that is skewed to favor one party.
