i don't mean like treated bad by the customers but by the department managers, supervisors, etc...i take pride in my work...no matter what that is...i help out the customers and even take them to the exact location where their product is to be found...i don't have that many problems with the customers...infact i like to help them out...and i always do that with a smile....

what i don't get is why the department managers, supervisors, have to treat the employees sooo unfairly...i mean, we literally get treated like slaves...seriously, my department manager likes to really torture me, and work me to the bone...and there's nothing i can do about it since no one cares...the managers don't care...so really there's no one i can talk to about my problems or issues.

Walmart Likes To Control Everything

You should speak to your assistant or co and if that doesn't resolve the issue then you need to speak to the General manager or even your district manager. I have worked for Wal-Mart in the past and I have family that still does and there is no reason that they can't pull a cashier to stock or zone, or take turns from other departments for that matter. That's why everybody is cross-trained. If this is a regular problem or if they are just picking you every time to do the work then this does constitute as harassment. Mention that and see them jump a little. Wal-Mart hates the 'H' word.

first, let me say there are a few goodasst. managers and supervisors working in wally world stores tho they seem few and far in between. with any job, it is a lack of respect for people and a lack of care for one another. all that matters is monsy...the best way to make the most is ake the few workers you have do double duty in a single shift instead of hiring enough to make it possible to run and organize the store while still giving the employee the help and time needed to get everything done, and when they do not get it all done because it was more than anyone could do in the time, make them feel like they let their team or manager down.guilt is a great way to keep control of someone.especially when most employees have no education or experience that would get them a job elsewhere, and most wal-mart managers knows it too.

I totally agree with you. Totally. I enjoyed the customers and the work itself wasn't so bad but the supervisors were insane. I swear they pull up a busload of nutcases recently released from Looney Tune Hospital and hire them as supervisors and turn them loose on us. These people gossip, take revenge on you, have you do their work and someone else's that they like, and someone else's. The open door policy is the biggest joke i have ever seen. And I have yet to hear that it is any different anywhere else. there is nothing to do about it except move on up and try not to be as mean as the supervisor before you.

Untrue. 1. Walmart is no better or worse than any other big retailer. None give a rats *** about employees. 2. Customers don't care if the price is right.

Your not alone on this. I worked for Kohl's for 3 years, got 2 promotions and 3 raises in between. I made a whopping $8.06 an hour in that whole time. You can't live off that! They pushed my buttons way to far the day after Thanksgiving. So I said Bite Me I QUIT! I'm now working for a much better company that does so far seem to care about their employees. Good luck to you in getting threw to a least one manager. In my experience talk to a man manager they seem to have alittle more heart.

Those kind of people are fustrarated wanna be bigshots who are losers and know it. The only way they can feel good about themselves is to bully others and feel "big" about it. A good manager builds people up and makes them happy to work for them, not have their people resent them for treating them like dogpoo.
