1. they dont have a team chemistry. if you look at their rooster they are great. tmac, yao ming, shane battier, wells, francis, alston, james but they lack the fluidness of a great team.
2. they dont play team defense.
3. they are on the tough southwest division.the spurs and the mavs ouch.
4.there coaching staff sucks. look at there offense and defensive plays if there are any. and why francis on the bench.
5. they have tmac which is not a born leader. and a loser. he just cant go into the second round of the playoff.

I do not think they suck. I am not a Houston fan, but once they have had some time together, they should be all right. Adleman obviously knows how to win (not the championship, I know). Maybe, his quick-offense system is not right for the Rocket's roster. Perhaps. However, if you look at his good Kings' teams, they led the league in opponent field goal percentage (or something like that).
I kind of think that the coach is smart enough and the team's players are quality enough that once they figure the best way to go about it, they will. The NBA is boring these days, so I hope I am correct. New blood would be great. Boston is that in the East, no reason Houston will not be the same in the West.

You know something is wrong if Yao Ming called them "soft". T-Mac injured his ankle making a simple pass. Their defense is pathetic and Yao should be getting the ball more. I still don't think they are going to get out of the 1st round of the playoffs. They really don't have anyone that's willing to do the dirty work on the boards and they can't run with the best of them. The Western Conference is filled with great players and the teams are getting better and better. Houston might not even make the playoffs.

Firstly, because they don't play Steve Francis!!!! They rather play Rafer Alston for 35 mintues with little producton.
Secondly, Chuck Hayes starts ahead of Luis Scola?? That 's a Joke!! Worst starting PF (along with Jason Collins with the Nets) ever i never seen!!
Thirdly, T-Mac is shooting far too much instead of passing to the open man.

The schedule is not the problem everybody plays everybody. It's not the coach they couldn't win with Van Gundy last year. So let's put the blame on the players!

They had one of the best records in the NBA when T-Mac was healthy. They will and should win 50 games.

theyre doin pretty good in the first 8 or 10 games. but knowing mcgrady, who thinks his team at the best when he is performing real well, that suddenly starts losin then he can blame his team mates, that makes the team worse.

I think Van Gundy was better even though they never made it past the 1st round.
