I am anti religion , I am also atheist!
I have to say this but I have a great deal of respect for the Muslim religion which says :-
"Men have authority over women , because Allah has made the one superior to the others, and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient . They guard their unseen parts because Allah has guarded them.
As for those (women) from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and send them to beds apart and beat them . Then if they obey you , take no further action against them.
Right I've got to dash away now I think I can hear my wife just come home!

Its prolly going to cause conflict. But that's usually a two way street, and the husband isn't being a good loving provider like he should be.

That is great! I mean, women and men are both human. Men aren't the dominant ones. Both women and men have their own opinion and doesn't have to obey one another.

If a husband asks something of his wife ( which is reasonable) and asks out of love for her and their family, then she should put her pride aside.
However that doesn't mean that the wife is inferior or has no say in the matter. They should discuss the matter and agree and an outcome together.

we have our own minds and we are not pets or kids that need to told what to do. i don't obey i'd listen to what he wants and decide if thats ok with me. marriage is a partnership not an ownership any more.

your husband is not your master so why obey their wishes if you dont agree with them.
the word agree is the key, relationships are 2-sided and sometimes you may agree with his wishes and sometimes he may agree with yours.
'obey' is for religious control freaks im afraid.......

Just like at work, there needs to be a person in charge. It's the mans role to be responsible for the family and she should support him in that role.
