Gee .. another "Politically Correct" nutcase story going around ...

How in the world is Santa sending a 'bad body message' to children? Hey, generations of adults have grown up knowing Santa as a "Jolly, Holly Elf ... with a Belly that Shakes like a Bowl full of Jelly" ...

and we certainly did not look towards Santa as a "Body Message" at all -- we just looked towards Santa as a SYMBOL for the Season .. and that is for sure!

Can we stop (somehow) all these "Politically Correct" attacks on symbols and all these 'activist' (but very misguided) 'stories'?

Gee ... makes one wonder where the world is going when something as wholesome and innocent as "Santa" is being used to spout some more rhetoric at us!

I guess. But I'd hate to be the person to change the look of Santa Clause. It is too late, you can't make Santa skinny. Hopefully kids don't take Santa's weight in a bad way. I don't think that kids think it is okay to be fat because of Santa.

Notice how even you wrote "mAssaging" and then mEssage".

A "mAssage" and a "mEssage" are two different things.

Note: You can SEND a "mEssage". I don't see how one could send a "mAssage".

Nonetheless, that headline is ridiculous.
Santa is "jolly", not "fat".

And I don't think any child looks at him and goes, "Hmmm... I should look like that."

And if a child does, their parent should explain that being that "jolly" is not a healthy thing to be for children.

End of story.

A friend and I were just talking about this. I don't think Santa being plump gives any message to kids. If your worried with your own children tell them see what diet of milk and cookies will do. I wish we could just leave traditions alone.
