Considering the list they have and where they were last year I think everyone has incredible respect for north for making the top 8. It's also a credit to their boys for adapting to the new play on at all costs game plan - I used to think north melb were a boring side but they are almost my most exciting team to watch ATM As soon as they get the ball on the half back flank on the counter attack they are deadly with their chain of handballs. They have a tremendous captain in Andrew swallow he is so much like Matthew Boyd. A quality forward of the game in Petrie and their team work and chemistry is exceptional. As I said they don't have the big names but thats why they are dangerous the players like Gibson and Harper don't get paid enough attention from the opposition and then they become dangerous Don't you worry north will rattle a few teams in the finals - and how about boomer Harvey's recent form over the past month - check his stas - unbelievable!!

I have always called them North Melbourne, I even heard Rex Hunt say North Melbourne to describe them during the qualifying final on 3AW via the internet this year.

Also, I still call Footscray, Footscray, Western Bulldogs just isn't right.

Teddy wouldn't like it if he was still alive.

I'm old school...I still call them NORTH, even after they changed to the Kangaroos, I just couldn't break the habit of calling them North!

So so glad they are going back to being North Melbourne and ditching the stupid generic name of Kangaroos.

Bulldogs should go back to being Footscray too!!

Stupid Andrew & AFL for trying to make the Vic sides non-suburb specific...pffft!
