For example, I am embarrassed to bring up women's issues or to wear tight clothes and am conscious of the way I sit and stand around him. I am also embarrassed about boyfriends and dating in front of him and I am an adult.
He acts very embarrassed around me when I walk past or stand close.
I have never been able to talk to him about anything much at all except hobbies and general interests. He does anything for me and is very kind but he is not really a devoted father figure.

You are embarrassed because he is embarrassed. Even when you were younger you were learning how to act with him and now it is just a way you will deal with him.

it is not normal to be embarrassed but if he is wrong than its ok
