Candy you would have to be crazy you dont give a infant candy. They really only need breast milk tell there 1.
Also I take lots of pictures so she will know if I got her stuff or not.

Chewable toys and books (the plastic bath books are good; so are the chunky board books, but the corners WILL get chewed), rattles, soft toys, blocks (not small ones)... basic baby stuff. What sort of toys does she like playing with the most?
Just remember that everything you give her is going to wind up in her mouth, so make sure it's something that she can't choke on and won't damage too much by chewing on it (especially if she's cutting a few teeth) and you'll be fine.
@toetagme: You'd be surprised at how attached babies can get to a particular toy. And I wouldn't recommend diapers, because she will think it's fun to put them in her mouth - which isn't a habit you want to encourage.

You're saying its crazy to give candy to an infant but you are putting a post on Yahoo asking what to put in a 7 month olds stocking. Nothing - its for you not her, she's too young and won't have a clue. Are you really going to wrap all the stuff up and then unwrap it - now that is crazy.

My baby is getting a teething ring, new bottles, little xmas stuffed animal that has a rattle inside of it (i ended up getting a snowman and a santa cause i couldn't pick they say babys first xmas), a baby einstein book, and this "infantino" giggle ball toy set from target (its 9 bucks for 3 different toys for babys 3 months and up).
I'm a little excited and already have my kids stocking stuff all gathered. lol

she wont remember her first christmas but since its of importance to u put in sth that u can show her at 18 years and say "this was ur first present". what i did was buy a charm bracelet that my daughter only wears in december. its platinum and each year i add something that sums up the year in terms of her achiievements, milestones, anything (shes now five years old). it will last forever and is now as special to her as it is to me.

Do you really think she will know? Or care? Anything you put in there will be strictly to impress observers and not for her. Put some diapers and a stuffed toy that has no movable parts or add ons such as eyeballs.

give a donation to a charity in her name.
I know that Defenders of Wildlife will send you a plush animal of your choice and an "adoption" certificate for about $25.
giving doesn't always have to be materialistic....
