Pakistan have progressed to 369 for 5 wickets at the end of day three;they have another 57 runs to avoid the follow on. In all likelihood they will achieve this target tomorrow and may bat for as much of the day as possible. Hence the test is progressing to a draw cos' Pakistan don't have a chance to win the game. They'll be satisfied with a draw.

it has to be a draw. i think to avoid such resultless test matches, Australia's model has to be followed. Australia never scores more than 500 to 515 in its first innings even if they are 515/2.
In my observation they do this because they think going beyond 600 will result in draw ---- which is very true based on what we have seen in this match and previous match.
To build an innings of 600 it takes 2 whole days. Australia never goes more than 1 and a half day when batting first. Around the 45th over of 2nd day, they declare.
I don't understand why Kumble fails to see this. If 500 score is done, the other team can't go much beyond it.
A result is likelier that way Australia does.

India have a chance if:
(as per day 3 tea)
if they take the remaining wickets of Pakistani batsman early to enforce follow-on
From there-on, Pakistan will face toughness to bounce back
But
Pakistani batting doesn't collapse early
Indian bowling is not strong or upto the mark (especially with Ishant Sharma in the line-up)
so most probably a DRAW!!!

Where are you? If it be a draw, definately ICC should rethink on format of test cricket. Three test matches in row. You get result in one only. Stastically ICC should blamed for it. Somebody should tell ICC that cutting overs, limiting innings will not help. Somebody should tell ICC to rethink on participating teams into test match.
Ask ICC why test matches turning into draw?
