I am not sure what an honest lie is - sounds like an oxymoron to me.
I have however, not told the whole truth and kept some details to myself!!!

...an "honest" lie...? that's a contradiction... (a lie is a dishonest statement and cannot be balanced by the "truth"... the "truth" will always win out in the end as the truth cannot be manipulated as a lie can)...

Once, I told this friend of mine, who had hooked up with another friend of mine that I DIDthink it would work out for them, even though I KNEW she didn't like him that much. Well, when she DID dump him, he became bitter towards girls (thus repelling them) for months. I may have made a huge mistake by telling him what he wanted to hear.
