I have read a lot about the Cowboys and there are a lot of Cowboy haters. I truly believe Dallas is the second best team (right now). The Colts, when healthy, are better, but right now Dallas is number 2 behind the Pats. Why do people keep insisting the Steelers are better?

dallas is much better than pitt.
pitt cant play on the road losing to the cards, jets, pats, denver the steelers better worry about winning their div the browns are only 1 game behind now!
to be honest pitt might not be the 5th best team anymore tampa bay and Jax are playing better

There is no question. How can you even compare the two?
The Pittsburgh Steelers are MAYBE the sixth or seventh best team in the NFL.
Patriots
Cowboys
Colts
Packers
Jaguars
Seahawks
Steelers
I might put the Steelers ahead of the Jaguars and Seahawks only because they might win their division (Jaguars should be a wild card) and beat the 'hawks. But Pittsburgh better not mess up with the Browns one game behind. I know they have the tie-breaker with three games to go, but the Steelers have not looked very strong lately and the Browns have been resilient.
I am not a Cowboys fan. I actually think the super bowl will be Packers and Colts. I think these two teams are the two best teams of their respective conferences. They only lost their games because of injuries (not counting the one early season gaffe by the Packers). There are four elite teams in the NFL today, Patriots, Colts, Cowboys and Packers. Among these, there are two that are the best, Colts and Packers. The Steelers don't even come close and shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as these other four. The Steelers are a good team. They just don't have IT this year.
The above rankings are based on results as well as strength. I can't just say the Patriots are not deserving of being called the best. They are undefeated. Until someone knocks them down, they get the top spot for now. The same logic goes for the other teams. But based upon what I've seen lately I lean towards the Packers and Colts come the big game.

The steelers are not even close to the second best team. The Cowboys,the Jaguars, the Packers, the Seahawks and the Colts are all better than the Steelers. The Giants, the Bucs and the Chargers are pretty damn close to the steelers if not better also.

Cowboys are better. They have actually played some decent teams. Before New England the Steelers only played 2 winning teams and one of them are the Browns ,everyone else is below .500. The Steelers lost to the lowly Jets,Cards and Broncos all sub .500 teams and only scored 3 points against a no win team. (even with a muddy field the Cow boys would've scored more than 3 points) Also Romo is better than Ben. Ben is okay in his offense where he only has to throw 10 yards but if they fall behind and need to pass downfield forget it.

I hate Dallas, I am a Redskins fan, but I must admit that they are one of the best teams in the NFL this year. I think the #2 slot behind NE is either the Colts or the Cowboys, and I am leaning towards the Cowboys

Die hard fans will always believe their team is better. Then they go back into history and pull stats out. However what people must remember when pulling history up against the Cowboys in Steelers is if Romo was the QB then that history would be changed too.

the Steelers are not better than the COWBOYS. Over all the Cowboys as a team are better. Steelers may have a better defense, but that is about it. Steelers would not be able to beat the cowboys.
