You don't use a CPU, it's called a desktop computer. The CPU is a little microchip inside the computer case. HOWEVER, if you buy a TV tuner that can output VGA signals, you can easily use it to watch TV. You can also just buy an normal TV tuner and get a BNC coaxial (TV connector) to VGA (monitor) adapter. Go into RadioShack and describe what you want to do; I'll bet they can help you.

Well, some of the LCD monitor has the facility to use it as TV also. But they r costly enough. If u have only LCD monitor then u have to buy a TV Tunner card and attach this to ur CPU . Through this u can watch TV program in ur monitor. In that case u have to use ur CPU also. Otherwise its not possible to convert the LCD monitor to TV.

But even with TV tuner you cannot convert monitor to TV without CPU.
