Yeah. You can order fries with mayonaise.
Thats how most people eat it. You just get a little feed box filled with fries, and on top of them lots of mayonaise.
We also have 'Friet speciaal' which is mayonaise, curry (brown, a little bit like ketchup) and onions
Or fries with peanut(butter)sause. (satésaus or pindasaus)

I know people in the US that do that. And I've seen it done as long as 20 years ago. Now Ranch Dressing is all the rage.

when I was in Germany in the 60's, french fries were served with mayonnaise.
I still eat them that way,, sometimes.

MEXICO DOES IT I'VE DONE IT BEFORE I KNEW THERE WAS ANY RULES ,i think everyone has tried something other than ketchup,that's how chili fries were discovered !!

I don't know where it came from but my dad passed it onto me and his family is from France, generations ago though. All my sibs do it and now my kids do - bad bad bad!!! hahaha
