sin θ = 4/7 = y/r
r ² = x ² + y ²
7 ² = x ² + 4 ²
x ² = 33
x = - √33 (θ in 3rd quadrant)
tan θ = - 4 / √33
cot θ = - √33 / 4

= â [(7/4)^2 -- 1]
= â [33/16]

sin is opp/hyp
i.eopp=4 ,hyp=7,adj=sqrt49-16=sqrt33
cot is adj/opp=sqrt33/4
however for sin to be positive It is in 2nd quadrant. therefore the cot is -sqrt33/4
