The site refers to a Museum organized by the artist player of the classic Greek shadow figure character of Karagkiozis, Evgenios Spatharis and is on the suburb of Kifiisia

Karagkiozis is the name of the main character of a shadow theater figure accompanied with many companions that mostly refer to the period Greece was under the Ottoman Empire and the time that followed the Greek revolution and the subssequent unification. The name is collectively applied to all the figures, even though they have individual names.
A lot of plays that were written in conjuction to the current events at the time the play was played, are still played and the figures stay contemporary by adjusting to recent events.
Those figures and all those that were added according to the needs of the plays at the different times are the main objects of the Museum. Figures made by many famous artists are exhibited and among them Evgenios Spatharis is the dean of the Karagkiozi players.
Evgenios Spatharis being the legend of them all, as a gesture of preserving that great character that raised at least 4 generations of Greeks, has established and organized that Museum as a token of his contribution to that little funny and cunning, much loved character, which at times represented and depicted Greece and the times the country went through.

The page is also in English.
