like anywhere you go , you can live as expensivly as you want or as cheap as you want. the cheapest accomodation in japan is more expensive than hawaii. hawaii has reasonably priced hotels. stick with local hawaian chains instead of pricey american ones. in so far as food goes, go where locals go. don't eat in hotels . they have mcdonalds / jack in the box just as they do in the rest of the states. spam is very popular in hawaii. they eat it with white rice and macaroni salad. bbqs are also cheap and popular. there are little fish shacks that have great local fish fried. fish is very prevalent / beef is much more expensive. fresh fruit is very cheap there. it's grown locally . in waikiki , you can go to little corner mini marts. called ABC stores . tiny little drug store shops. you can buy 1/2 a papaya and 1/2 pineapple for a couple bucks. bring it back to your room and enjoy the fresh fruit for breakfast / coffee is free in most hotels. the fruit you don't eat / you can snack on at night and enjoy next day. the abc mart gets fresh baked good / but you have to get there early. they usually sell out / you snooze you lose LOL . having your own little continental breakfast if much cheaper than ordering a room service or heating in hotel. i dont eat three meals at home. car rental is pretty expensive in hawaii. you don't need car in downtown waikiki. rent it only 1 day to drive around island / see rest of it. in maui / it might be worthwhile to use a car. otherwise you are captive to the hotels / cabs to get to and from food / touring. things are more spread out / you will probably save enough to justify the car expense. consider going with another couple / sharing the expense of a car. i have also seen some good prices on NCL cruises for hawaian island cruise. i would consider a good deal on a cruise . in a place like hawaii it might pay off .

Hawaii may be the 50th state of the United States of America and is located almost at the centre of the North Pacific Ocean point that produces from Hawaii a good option for an amazing vacation, with hotelbye you'll learn more. The natural elegance of the islands remains certainly one of Hawaii's greatest assets. One of the very intriguing areas to see in Hawaii is Volcanoes National Park. That package provides a special, up close look at a dynamic volcano and the recent landscape created by a volcano. Hot lava passes down the mountain side, and dried lava covers the road, showing their unstoppable force. Still another place worth visit is the memorial Visitors Center, a hub that gives famous home elevators the Harbor and the Japanese assault and the Battleship USS Missouri.

JAPAN!! yes, japan is definitely expensive because since its so small a descent sized hotel room is super pricy! also, they have to import a lot of foods from other countrys. for instance, beef there is 4 times the cost that it is in america. thats really only for some foods though. Im not sure about hawaii but I would assume so since its such a popular vacation spot!

It depends on where you live. From the west coast it's not too bad airfarewise. If I lived on the east coast, the caribbean is the place to go. I've been to both a couple of times and enjoyed both. Expect to pay a little more per diem in Hawaii.
