My ex-fiance was 400 lbs, "forgot" to take his blood pressure medication, he was selfish, always had to be right about everything. He had emotional problems. I wasn't that attracted to him, we couldn't have sex because of his size, he kept his house dirty and nasty. I didn't like his family that much. He would embarrass me in public. He looked at porn behind my back. He wasn't very romantic. He didn't take care of his responsibilities sometimes. If this was your boyfriend would you leave him??

You have absolutely nothing good to say about this relationship. I think anybody would leave in a heartbeat.

Yes, I would have. Sorry someone that treats me badly in public doesn't deserve my time. You are very smart to have left him. Looking at porn behind your back was an indication that he can't get off by you. Plus, sweetie if you weren't attracted to him then you shouldn't be with him. I am not saying go out with only model type guys, but do go out with a guy that you can at least see yourself kissing. There has to be some chemistry there, and with your relationship with your ex there wasn't. You were smart enough to see that. Good girl!

I would have never gotten involved with someone like that in the first place. But what do you expect from someone who weighs 400lbs. I mean really, of course his house is nasty, he is too big to get up and clean it I am sure. At that weight I am sure he gets out of breath just walking a short distance.
I wouldn't stay with anyone I wasn't happy with.

Yes, I would leave. He doesn't seem like the man you want to marry and spend the rest of your life with. I'd feel bad for him if he was 400 pounds and if he didn't take care of himself by avoiding his medication and living in a pigsty, I'd just stay friends to help him.

I would look to the reason I was with him in the first place...

How he looks, how he keeps his house and his families attitude wouldn't be the reason.....
Looking at porn, embarrassing me in public, not taking care of himself(medication and health)and counting on him as a person would however raise big RED FLAGS for me.

best wishes

I would say that the chances of a happy, mutually respectful relationship are pretty slim. You don't respect him now--and you weren't even married yet.

Your question puzzles me though. If he is your ex-fiance, and you are not considering reconciliation, then why do you care?

That would never be my boyfriend, and leaving him might give you some kind of life to look forward to. Try not to feel bad about your choice.

Why would you even have been in a relationship with him?
The weight is one thing.
All the other things are more than enough to not want to be with someone, especially the mistreating stuff.
