No I'm not a big fan of McDonalds although i read that they did have to change thier frying oil to vegetable oil after vegetarians found out the previous frying oil was beef based. Now with the whole vegetable oil change McDonalds relies on Artificial flavoring to retain the original taste of their fries.

They used to fry them in beef tallow and they were very good. Since they switched to soy- corn oil, they're pretty tasteless.

Same with movie theater popcorn. It used to be SO good. Now it's just average.

Nope. I believe they changed the oil after vegetarians found out about it being animal-based. Don't know if it's true or not though. I still can't help eating them!
