I have had all repair and re-sizing done on all rings at my local jewelry store. Most rings have been family pieces, including my grandmother's high school ring. I find the small shops to be friendly, helpful and caring that I get what I need done! The biggest plus is that the work is done right there, so I'm not worried that the rings will get lost in shipping!

Any independant jewler should be able to resize the ring. And I know for sure Kay would be able too. I have a tiny class ring and they resized it for me and that was well lets say a while ago.

Depends on the material and quality of material the ring is made of. Silver can not be resized, gold can. Most jewelry stores will do it but they send it off to be done. Call your local jewelry stores that are not owned by a chain. Some of them might be able to do it in their shop instead of getting it sent off.

yup, just take it to a jeweler! they will probably even end up making the rest of the ring thicker, stronger and therefore prettier! :)

you will need a real jeweler to do it for you -

and ask for the gold they cut out - for you to keep

HOWEVER - the stone and the setting MAY prohibit this from being done

all the best
