The Dew Point temperature is the temperature when the air is saturated with water vapor. This means that the water vapor will then condense and fall out of solution in the air to become fog or rain or snow or whatever other form of precipitation would fit the temperature and pressure conditions of the region at the time.

If the air temperature and the dewpoint temperature are the same,it means the relative humudity has reached 100 percent and the air has become saturated with water vapour. This again means that the air cannot hold further moisture(water vapour) and if you add the moisture further,it will condense as water drops. If the condensation takes place near the the earth's surface, fog or dew may form.
This condition may also be expressed in terms of vapour pressure. When saturation is reached, the saturated vapour pressure is identical with the actual pressure of the water vapour in the air( as water vapour, being a gas contributes its own pressure to the atmospheric pressure).

It means the water dissolved in the air will condense on surfaces for as long as the air temperature is lower than the dew point temperature.

That means that "saturation" has occurred and your relative humidity is 100%. When this happens you usually experience fog. This can happen in many different ways i.e. Moist air is advected (moved horizontally) over an area and is cooled, temp cools at night and drops to the DP temp. or moist air is moved upward in elevation (mechanically) and cools that way. Hope this helps.

the air is saturated...100% relative humidity...it's probably raining or damn close
