I have lived in the foothills of So. Cal for 20 years and have NEVER heard of a deer or coyote jumping through someones window!! I have heard of cats and small dogs being eaten by coyotes however..so keep your pets indoors, and if you have a small dog, supervise him while outside. Coyotes CAN however jump fences up to 6 feet. They may even jump something higher than 6 feet if they are really hungry and there is a pet on the other side. I would also warn you if you have a pool..not to use a pool cover as I know of deer trying to walk on the cover and then drowning when they became intangled in it.

oh yeah the glass will break but that's really not the hard part. what really matters is what the window or how the window is made. Wood or Aluminum? I have seen people go thru glass windows only to be stopped by the sash and then find themselves hanging upside down on whats left of a broken window, which can turn out to cause some degree of discomfort. And for a plate glass window forget about it you'll need so much momentum to carry you thru and it will cut you up, like going thru a car window in an accident. I recommend marijuana for medicinal purposes at least will under the influence you can laugh about while felling to lazy to act on it. you can even watch Scooby and get a laugh out of that

Not sure about the coyote. Deer however can. Just two weeks ago a deer, a small buck, went through a sliding glass door in a house out in the country near me. You see these stories two or three times a year.

I think any thing COULD just through a window, however animals don't typically jump through windows. Thats a very far out idea. Most of these animals avoid civilized areas. Newer neighborhoods have problems with small pets being eaten. Or even trash cans being raided. Its kind of just a part of life though. We aren't alone on the planet.
On a more serious note, get double pained glass it will save on money heating and cooling your home.

It happens quite often with deer. I have often heard stories of some deer that got stuck in a store. The buck sees a reflection of itself and in the passion of the rut has at it. A coyote could but it is not likely to ever do it.

Hopefully, the deer in California are too intelligent to jump through windows, but it has been known to happen elsewhere:

I don't think coyotes are as stupid as these deer - I have never heard of a documented case of one going through a glass window, although they have been known to go through screens, and enter places through open doors:

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://tr.im/OlhCJ
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Deer will run through windows if sufficiently paniced. The chances of this happening to your home is very small, unless you find you are in a deer expressway.
