Im an ex-scientologist.
They are very much against roles. In fact I think they purposely try to eradicate that in the course on fighting peer pressure (altho that isnt one of the courses I took so I cant be sure)

They are very big on deciding your own path in life with no crutches or "third-partying" (someone else telling you what to do). They feel that a man and woman should discuss and choose for themselves.

In my opinion, men and women have the same roles in scientology. There aren’t right duties at one gender specify. Women and men be able to put together their experience and intelligence in technology development.

Both of them have the same role. Being beautiful!
Seriously. I am surrounded by them out here in California. It's really strange.

Even the celebs that are scientolgists. Think about it. Cruise, Travolta, Kristie Alley, that Seinfield guy. They all look good in moving pictures. Great smiles, really attention on you even through the camera, open and happy. But when you look at a still picture of them you wonder why you thought they were cute.

They are all like that. You know they went in all shuffling and frowning and mumbling like most of us ugly slobs. And they come out happy and somehow better looking.

They play exactly the same role. They both are expected to pay the church obscene amounts of money and never breath a negative word about Scientology or L. Ron Hubbard.
