I do not cry after using listerine, but I quit using it years ago because it is way too strong for me. There are some really good natural mouth washes that feel and taste good. Parsley is an awesome mouth freshener. Try eating it after meals and than drink a lot of water.

It burns a bit, but not bad. If it is burning a lot, you might have an open sore or something like that. Listerine is supposed to help keep your mouth clean, not tear it to pieces.

Get the cirtus listerine. It's what I did. It has the same effect without the burn. For some people, regular is just too strong for sensative gums.

But i have to have the fresh breath and clean gums.

I cry while I USE it! Picture this, a 25 year old woman hopping aroung the bathroom with both checks puffed out mumbling muffeled cuss words with tears streaming down both sides of her face. That stuff is horrible yet I do it every morning and everynight!

Only when it gets in my eyes, lol.I would switch to a different mouth wash.If you think listerine is bad,try using hydrygen peroxide, yuck.Although it does whiten your teeth though.

Awww, don't cry Demon Boy!!! Just a thought...switch to an alcohol- free mouthwash...Tom's makes one, you can find them at Trader Joes, etc. Whatever you do, don't watch Fox News...Ann Coulter makes me cry...give HER your Listerine...

At first yes but after repeated use, no.
I suggest you dilute it with some water, before rinsing your mouth. That will feel better.
