ever heard of a router. cable company gives u one IP address and so splitting the wire wont give u two connections that what a router does. but little trick if u dont have the cable tv option split cable and other end put in the back of your tv and you get basic channels.

you can only use one modem on a phone line, the only way to connect more than one pc is to use a router, they usually have connections for up to 4 pcs with cables and then wireless. two modems on one line conflict with eachother and nothing works, i tried it

I dont think it is possible. And will be too expensive also.
U can get one connection and use a router to get the networked computers connected to the internet.
