The only viable candidates I feel the republicans have are Thompson and Huckabee.
Thompson is still kind of a "Dark Horse" right now and has name recognition from TV and other endeavors but very little is known about him.
Huckabee got Chuck Norris to endorse him(we all remember the Chuck Norris jokes that were ciculating around the net about two years ago-not bad for a former USAF Cop). A sense of humor like that could really help out in election time and unify the country(if we all can laugh at the same thing whatelse can we find incommon).

Edwards: the only guy or woman who can carry a crimson state or 2, his working classification roots might desire to win over some average human beings Obama: the deep south and countless the "rust belt" and the mountain west states, nor Alaska will ever vote for an African American. Hawaii he'd carry however. Hillary is in simple terms too hated by way of the above suggested areas

I have no real feelings about everyone besides the four listed. Huckabee could end up being a legit contender and I would rather see him then the rest of the field if Romeny fails. McCain and Guliani are both running for the wrong party, they would do a lot better as Democrats.

Romney- good right of center governor of a liberal state
Huckabee- will appeal to stronger conservatives if Romney is nominated
Tancredo- for his constant fight against illegal immigration
everyone else is not really good
the paul sickens me with some of his ideas so he is dead last
